Alma
Student Information System
Alma is Garnet Valley's Student Information System (SIS). As Alma is Garnet Valley's "official" gradebook and attendance portal, parent access Alma to check on students' up-to-date grades and attendance. Each school has its own unique Alma URL which you be access using the following short cuts: CES , GVES , BSES , GVMS , GVHS .
Schoology
Learning Management System
Schoology is Garnet Valley's learning management system (LMS). With Schoology, educators can create and manage digital course content, assessments, and communication with students and parents. Key features include: course content management, assessment and grading tools, student progress tracking, collaboration and discussion tools, and parent and student communication portals. Parents use a their child's "Parent Access Code" to access their Schoology pages. Learn more about this and other Schoology features.
One to One Plus
Tech Support Ticketing System
One to One Plus is a cloud-based asset management software and tech support ticketing system that helps Garnet Valley record and track inventory and manage help desk processes. This system allows the district to maintain asset details including device type, purchase history, funding source, and assigned users. Within the system, students, parents, and faculty members can submit device repairs or replacements requests, which automatically routes to suitable technology support specialist. There are two ways parents can report an issue with their child's device. Go to 1:1 Plus , then:
Use the "Log in with Google" button and log into the system using your child's @garnetvalley email and password. OR
Log in using the following generic username and password information. (Username: gvsdparent Password: garnetvalley)
SNAP
Health Portal and Student Records
The SNAP Health Portal offers access to your child’s school health record which facilitates better communication with your school nurses by providing convenient 24 x 7 access from the comfort and privacy of your own home or office.
All parents and legal guardians that have an email address in Alma receive their secured login credentials within a few weeks to the start of school. The email will come from [email protected]. If any parent has an issue accessing their child’s health records please contact your child's school nurse. Acces the SNAP Health Portal.
My School Bucks
Cafeteria Payment System
My School Bucks is a secure online platform that allows parents to easily manage and monitor their child's school-related expenses. With My School Bucks, you can make online payments for school meals, view your child's account balance, and set up automatic payments for recurring expenses. Access or setup your MySchoolBucks account.
FamilyID
FamilyID is an online registration platform that makes it easy and convenient for parents to register their children for school activities and programs. With FamilyID, parents can complete registration forms and sign off on waivers and policies all in one place, saving time and streamlining the registration process. Using FamilyID, parents can sign up for a wide range of school activities, such as sports teams, music programs, after-school clubs, summer camps, and more. The platform is user-friendly, allowing parents to manage all their children's activities and registrations from one account.
Safe2Say
Anonymous Reporting System
Safe2Say Something is a statewide anonymous reporting system that allows students and parents to report potentially dangerous or concerning behavior to school officials and law enforcement. Safe2Say Something is designed to promote school safety and prevent school violence by empowering students to speak up and report any suspicious or concerning behavior they see or hear.
Through the Safe2Say Something system, students and parents can report a wide range of behaviors that could potentially harm themselves or others, such as bullying, harassment, self-harm, suicidal thoughts, or even potential acts of violence. Reports can be made through the Safe2Say Something website, mobile app, or a 24/7 hotline.
The system is completely anonymous, meaning that students and parents can report concerns without fear of retaliation or stigma. When a report is made, it is immediately reviewed by a team of trained professionals who can assess the situation and take appropriate action, such as notifying school officials, law enforcement, or mental health professionals. SafeArrival by School Messenger
SafeArrival by School Messenger is an online platform that allows parents to report their child's attendance quickly and easily. With SafeArrival, parents can report absences, tardies, or early dismissals for their child using their computer or mobile device, making it easier to stay on top of their child's attendance. Using SafeArrival, parents can report their child's attendance in advance, which eliminates the need to call the school's attendance line or send in a written note. The platform is user-friendly, making it easy for parents to provide detailed information about their child's absence, including the reason for the absence, any special needs or accommodations, and any expected duration of the absence.
Atlas Curriulum Warehouse
Curriculum Warehouse
Atlas Curriculum Mapping is an online tool that manages and organizes Garnet Valley's curriculum. With Atlas, teachers and administrators can create, map, and share detailed curriculum plans, ensuring that all students receive a comprehensive and consistent education. The system allows Garnet Valley to align our curriculum with state and national standards, track student progress, and collaborate with colleagues in real-time. Parents can also view Garnet Valley's curriculum by accessing the Atlas Curriculum Warehouse.

Annual FERPA Notification
The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) is a Federal law designed to protect the privacy of a student's education records. The law applies to all schools that receive funds under an applicable program of the U.S. Department of Education. FERPA gives parents certain rights with respect to their children's education records. These rights transfer to the student, or former student, who has reached the age of 18 or is attending any school beyond the high school level. Students and former students to whom the rights have transferred are called eligible students. Please see the FERPA Notification page to learn more.
Opt-Out Forms
Parents or guardians have the right to terminate their student’s access to one or all of the electronic tools and resources listed above by submitting the Opt-Out form below. If you do not want your child to use District technology resources, please be aware that your decision to eliminate access to these tools may significantly affect your student’s ability to work collaboratively with his or her peers on class assignments and projects, and may impact the development of skills necessary to live and work in this increasingly digital world. This Opt-Out request will remain in effect for one school year and expires at the end of this school year. A parent or guardian must complete a new Opt-Out form every school year. If no documentation is on file, it will be assumed that permission has been granted for access to the Internet, Google Apps for Education, Online Curriculum services, and other online applications and services that have been selected for use by the District, your child’s school, or your child’s teacher. JAMF Parent App
Jamf Parent is a free iPhone, iPad, Apple Watch, and Android app that allows you to manage your children's school-issued mobile devices. Depending on the software your school uses to manage your children's school-issued mobile devices, you may be able to use the Jamf Parent web app. Using Jamf Parent, you can restrict and allow apps and device functionality on your children's devices. You can only manage your children's devices with Jamf Parent during the time periods specified by your school's Information Technology department. Device Insurance
Garnet Valley has partnered with Legacy Technology Services to provide the Garnet Valley school community the option of purchasing device insurance for their school-district issued device. This program is optional and is only offered to Garnet Valley staff members and families who want the peace of mind of having their device insured for accidental damages for the 2023-2024 school year. Accidental insurance covers drops, spills, cracked screens, or broken keyboards that result in the device being unusable and needing to be replaced. Accidental insurance DOES NOT cover intentional damage or abuse/neglect of the device.
All damages to school-issued devices should be immediately reported to each school’s Technology Support Specialist.
Pay for Damages
We understand that accidents happen. In order for the district to remain fiscally responsible, damages to district property must be paid before we issue a new device..Staff members and/or parents can pay for damages HERE . If any device stops working because of a hardware or software issue it will be replaced by the district at no cost.
